So there was this guy that my aunty had mentioned she wanted to set me up with and said he was a lovely, good looking boy, kind sweet and that we would be a great match. She had mentioned that we knew each other as kids but I was probably too young to remember. Beside the fact, I said no because it was a really weird idea and I didn't want to meet him that way. However, I did know that he had dated a girl at my school for quite a while but had broken up badly with her. My best friend was also really good friends with him, but never really talked about him much. Then a week passes by and me and my best friend are at a party which she told this guy to meet us at. Me and my friend got separated at the party and he tried getting in contact with her by she wasnt responding. But he somehow knew I was with her and messaged me on facebook, asking if we were still at the party, so I called him (keeping in mind i was almost drunk) and told him where we were. he came with his friends and picked us up and came back to my house around the corner. We were there for a long time, from like 10pm to 3am in the morning. He ended up inviting me to his 18th birthday that was in 2 weeks time and ended up kissing. The next day he has messaged me and asked me out on a date (or so i thought was a date.) We were talking for that week until the date, and had a blast but he didnt seem himself. Then he completely ghosted me and ignored my messages, so I gave up. He ended up messaging me saying that he liked me and didnt want a relationship at the moment, which i completely understood considering the fact that he was turning 18 and just starting to go out clubbing etc. Then i found out he was talking to a girl, not even a week later who he probably was messaging whilst talking to me which made my heart break into pieces because for days I thought i wasn't good enough, or pretty enough or that I was ugly and that it was all my fault. But in reality it was just him being an asshole. He then asked her out a month later, and we saw each other at a dinner, he had asked me if I was talking to any boys, and I told him that it was none of his business because I was just finally getting over him. He was being extremely flirty, and I keep right back in love with him. I asked him if he was talking to any girls and he said no, even though i knew he was. He broke my heart into pieces, and the worst thing is that I still like him, even though he did so many horrible things to me, even made me cry. He is the reason why I dont let boys into my life or heart so easily. Because he broke it and now the only thing that can repair it is time.

So I met this beautiful woman at my job, we hit it off. Had fun she was exciting, I seriously felt like she was the one. Now about month number 3 we had an issue, my ex texted me one night. I didn’t even know it till the next morning, now I and my ex hadn’t talked for a while. We were still cordial with each other, and she knew my situation. So I was in the shower at the girlfriends’ house getting ready for work, and she knocks on the door to tell me I had a text. Now up until this point everything was wonderful, I look at the phone and my ex texted me that “I still love you goodnight”. Now the girlfriend went apeshit! Put my phone in the toilet, poured bleach on it got it out threw around the house. Hit me with a damn baseball bat and her fists, her damn dog was even attacking me. Now I know I should’ve bailed then, but we got back together. And we’re in our 30’s. Now there were several more incidents that happened that topped that incident. Okay now the breakup is batshit crazy! So about 3 weeks ago we were going to meet up at her house for dinner and to work out. Her mom was still in town after New Year’s. So I stay about 45 minutes away from her and we were supposed to get there around the same time. I got about 10 minutes away from her house and asked where she was at, she said she was coming from the mall with her girlfriends but she was driving. I told her that to let her mom now that I’m coming through the garage so she won’t be startled when I come in, she said okay. So I beat her to the house, as I’m getting my bags out of my truck she calls me. I answer and say where you are, she tells me that she’s been shot! I said SHOT BULLSHIT! She said someone had shot her on the freeway while she was driving and she wanted me to come to her before she died. NO shit this came out of her mouth. So I immediately get back in my truck and I’m gunning it, she’s still on the phone the entire time. I spot a cop by a gas station and pull over to him and tell him that my girl has been shot and she’s driving toward the exit. So we go get closer and I’m talking to her the entire time. Take it I am a former Army Combat Medic so immediately knew just by her talking and how cohesive she was I knew her airway and breathing were good, but it was the circulation I was worried about. She pulls up and Holy Fuk her car was shot up like Tupac’s! Holes everywhere! She left the hospital that night with 2 superficial wounds to the back of her head, blessed to be alive! I get to her house and she said she didn’t see anything, nothing no description nothing. Now I’m not a guy who lives outside of reality, so I asked did she owe somebody money, or was it another guy or something. She said no. Take it I couldn’t sleep when we got back to her house I already have PTSD and that shit triggered the hell out of me! So ii stayed up and read my Bible but something in my spirit told me to leave that house. I stayed with her that Sunday, cleaned her wounds even prayed with her. So I went home, and I have a busy schedule but I told her that I didn’t feel comfortable at her house, and that her and her mother can come lay low at my house for however long, even offered my truck. But something inside of me just told me to fall back, and I felt bad because I knew she had just been through some serious shit. But once my mom and friends found out about the incident they told me not to fuck with her! So for two days I stayed away, we still talked but she didn’t like the fact that I wasn’t there! So I knew she had another car at her house that runs, but it had been sitting up so long it had grime built on top of grime. So I take my pressure washer over there to clean it up so they wouldn’t be driving a car that looks like shit, ironically she wasn’t there at the time. But a white Tahoe pulls up by her mailbox and asks me do I live there. I said no i don’t, it pulls off. Couldn’t get a license plate number because of how her driveway sits. So I call her she said that I’m not there for her and that’s it, blocks me, no commo. Now if that aint grimey enough, the cops call me in, and question me as if I had something to do with the shit! I literally held my scarf to her head to stop the bleeding, but I feel like that was not a random act of violence. So yea I feel played like fuk! Crazy shit huh?

My now ex boyfriend of eight months has depression and is going through a lot with school/work and is stressed a lot. He doesn't seem to have good coping skills (he admits it) and things build up and he runs away. We'd been fighting a lot off and on (not terrible fights, but they were every couple days). Yesterday he went over to a friend's house and was supposed to come home around 1 or 2 am. He texted me saying that he'd had too many beers and was just going to crash there and would be home around noon. We were supposed to go out today and have a nice dinner and have fun (he was still saying he wanted to go right before he went to bed at his friend's). Well he gets home at noon, comes in and puts my dog in the kennel and tells me that he brought the guys over to meet me (he'd tried to introduce me before but the timing wasn't right). So they come in and I walk out and immediately something seems weird. None of them are looking at me and I say, "Hi!" but no one answers and I notice boxes. My boyfriend then says, "These are my best friends... I've known these guys for years and they're my rock." He paused and then said, "And the reason we have all of these boxes here is because you're out of here.. we're done. This is done." I was completely shocked and couldn't understand what was happening. I asked him to talk in private and at first he resisted, but then agreed. We went into the bedroom and he literally set a timer of 5 minutes. We talked and he says he has too much going on, we're too different and that in general, he's not happy with us and isn't in the place to be in a relationship right now. He claims it's not me but "us".
He says he's happy sometimes but not as much as he should be and that he brought his friends because he knows he'd not stay strong about breaking up otherwise. Here's the part where it starts getting weird: he filmed us with his friend's phone when we were talking in private to show that things had ended "amicably".

Me and my ex boyfriend were living together for almost 2 years when we broke up. The unforgetable date was December 29, 2015. He said he wanted to prioritize his family, friends and his self. He said he's tired with everything. I wasn't expecting that to happened. We were so happy last Christmas that's why I was really shocked. My heart was in bad shape after that. I tried to accept it and tried to think all of the bad things we had in the relationship but in the end everything went down. I couldn't focus at work, he said he won't go back to the apartment if i'm still there. Everything seems to be falling apart. He went home December 31 to get some clothes and I did take that chance to begged....begged...begged... but all he said was "no". I don't know what to do, I planned everything with him on it. I don't understand why it was so easy for him to let me go. For him to dumped me.. I gave my best and all in that relationship. I prioritized him in everything.. I tried to be okay for about 2 weeks when he started texting and I did reply because I missed him. We talked after 2 weeks and he said he wanted to give our relationship a chance but that chance did not last for a day. He texted me that night and all he said was "sorry". I was so hurt and hopeless again. I asked him to give me a week but he said "no" again. He agreed to have a dinner the next day where I ended begging for his love. I told him that I'm not expecting anything for him and asked him to give me 1 week to stay but he said "no". He said he wanted to go home and again I begged for him to accept me even just for a night and finally I heard the word "yes". That whole night was so painful, I just cried the whole night because he made me feel that I'm not there. Pain was higher that the love that I have. I prayed for more strength, I prayed that no one will also feel the pain that I have..

One day in my 6th grade school year a young biy in my class asked me out and said he wanted me to meet his parents THAT night so without his parents knowledge. So I knock on the door that night and he got the door I came in and he said hey mom thiswas the one I was telling you about. His mother said you never said anything about company coming over for dinner, and you never said that you had a girlfriend!! Since his father screwed around, he had 26 siblings somehow. I had dinner there. During dinner he brought up the topic that he wanted to take me to the Valentine's day Dance at our school the next day. I said sure so the next night we went and guess what he broke up with me at the dance. I was soooooo embarrassed. I haven't gone to a school dance since. And there's been about 25 of them

So just wondering if anyone else has had a similar dating experience. I was casually dating a girl for about a month and a half, but we had been talking everyday for about two and a half months. We were taking things slow, and one day we were on our way to the park (were I planned to talk to her about how she felt things were going) when I got struck by car. I was projected onto my head and was brought to the hospital trauma unit due to the nature of my bloody head. I surprisingly came out of it in pretty good shape, except for a mild concussion that has been lingering for over a month now. She stayed with me that night and over the weekend our communication was intimate and she even mentioned about making me dinner as I was in recovery. Then bang, she 180s and decides she is not ready for a relationship thus ending our dating experience. So basically, I got hit by a car while walking with her and the next week she decides that she doesn't want to continue. Not going to lie, it messed me up a bit going through a traumatic experience like that, and then having the person who you thought could support you a little pull the chute.

A few weeks ago I experienced a break-up. Except it wasn't really a break-up. The man with whom I felt I was falling in love with and whom I sincerely felt was in love with me....disappeared. I reached out to him twice within a week after his whoodini act, and have not received a response. Its as if he just evaporated. I feel like I've been imagining all the time that we spent together, all the mornings we woke up cuddling and all the amazingly passionate nights that we shared.

Where is my boyfriend????

I'm writing because I am confused and would like to share a bit of my story. I was aggressively pursued by a sensitive, attractive, fun and interesting guy. I didn't do any of the pursuing, it was all on his end. After 5 months of dating him and him telling me he wanted to spend his life with me and loved me, and took me out, and dinners, and drinks, and fun and blah blah blah....we spent New Years together and the next week he prepared this amazing "honeymoon night" in his apartment with candle and tea and incense, and everything perfect. He gave my a gift after we had sex and we cuddled and had a fun night...

We kissed in the morning and said goodbye.

I haven't heard from him since. This was a month ago. I'm totally confused and angry that I was sold on this bologna. After 5 months of dating. I don't understand. I now want to send him a message and tell him off and call him out on his lunacy, but I am stopping myself. I have so many questions. So much to say, but I don't want to give him the satisfaction of even knowing that I'm giving him one more second of my thoughts.

I seriously feel like I hate him right now. I hope he is miserable and I hope that he has the worst Valentine's Day ever. I hope he realizes what a coward he is for not breaking things off more respectfully. I feel hurt, confused, and disrespected.

I want to move on, but its hard when you don't have a real ending, and so many questions. I know I deserve more, but I was just blindsided!! I didn't even really like him that much until recently.

Moreover, I hope this experience makes me more aware in the future, and I hope I am able to grow from this. I'm happy to share my story and know that I am not alone. None of us are. There is someone better out there, but in the mean time, it is not easy.

Dylan and I were never an official couple. But we went on dates and met each others family. i could tell i was falling in love with him from the start. No one had ever made me feel how he made me feel. I went over to his house to have dinner with him and his family and the whole time i could feel something was wrong. After dinner he took me home and asked me how i felt about being his girlfriend and i told him id love that. He said he wasn't ready for it though so like why did he even ask me? So then he starts talking about how he's graduating soon and it was all just really depressing hearing about how he had to leave. We're standing in front of my house and i cant recall anything that we said to each other other than the fact that he was ending things. Even though it was over he still kissed me, and in my heart I knew there was nothing i could do to change his mind. I went to bed crying and as soon as i woke up for school i fell apart. I will never forget the feeling when my mom came in and started crying with me. Because of him I cant let anyone else in. He blamed the breakup on him not wanting to date anyone in high school as he was going to college but the thing that really gets me is finding out that only 1 week after we ended, he was going on dates with another girl in my grade.

Well it comes to a very funny ending my friends... I was with this guy i really loved and still love at this moment for months then one day i felt like he was going to break up with me so before that even happened i asked him if he needed space but later i saw the 3 dots in the message and i told him if you're going to break up with me dont do it through text at least call me... 3 seconds later i get a call i was already belligerent and ecstatic... After telling me how such a great person i am and that he still loves me he says "hold up, mom can you pass me the ketchup" as the call end with me hanging up he broke up with me through the phone while eating dinner with his family. Pass me the ketchup always gets me till this day

I met my ex-girlfriend on an online dating website and things got serious pretty quickly. She had bipolar disorder but was not getting treated. She lived with her parents and had a rocky relationship with her domineering and controlling mother. I always got the impression that her parents viewed my ex-girlfriend as a disappointment in comparison to her two older sisters who were both married with their own families. It seemed like her parents were happy with just about anybody who take my ex-girlfriend off her hands.

Initially I got along with her parents. I attended family gatherings, holidays and even went on a vacation with them. Over time, however, things changed. It started during a dinner we had with her parents. Her mother had a habit of scolding my ex-girlfriend about seemingly petty things. Even though it was an awkward situation that was uncomfortable, her mother was very unapologetic and instead got upset at me for not talking.

After two years together, we started to run into some problems. My ex-girlfriend was pressuring me into getting engaged, mainly so she could get my health insurance and get treated for her bipolar disorder. She even talked about eloping first so she didn’t have to wait to claim my insurance. I started to feel that the relationship was a little one-sided. We practically spent all of our free time together and I was bothered she never showed much interest in any of my hobbies and was always very vocal about how stupid they were. Another problem were her mood swings which often lead to arguments, which occasionally took place in public places.

After we broke up, I went out on my own while my ex-girlfriend immediately jumped into another relationship. Also during that time, her parents sort of relented and allowed her to get treated for her bipolar disorder. After a few months, we both realized that we still had feelings for each other and decided to get back together, promising that things would be different.

At first not everyone was excited that we were back together, mainly her parents. They were upset because they believed her new boyfriend would’ve eventually married her and because they believed I had caused my ex-girlfriend’s mood swings. My ex-girlfriend’s mother was upset at me over an incident that happened a year ago that never occurred. Even though my ex-girlfriend believed her, I was suspicious of her mother.

Initially everything seemed to be going great. The relationship was a lot more balanced and because my ex-girlfriend was taking medication she wasn’t getting those mood swings that plagued us last time. Around the holidays, things started to turn. I was driving my ex-girlfriend to the airport and my car got a flat tire. As I pulled into the gas station, she started screaming at me, like she did before she was taking her medication. It was so bad that the attendants felt sorry for me and gave me the replacement tire for free. Even though my ex-girlfriend wrote off the incident as holiday-related stress, it was the first indication that something wasn’t right.

Over the next month, my ex-girlfriend continued to act erratically and decided to break up with me on Valentine’s Day, only to change her mind the following day and the same pattern would occur every few weeks. Also during that time, my ex-girlfriend discovered that her mother had tricked her into not taking her bipolar medication and had told her doctor that she no longer needed them causing her doctor to believe she was misdiagnosed.

Eventually, my ex-girlfriend’s mother began to act even more coldly towards me. During an argument over the phone, I overheard her mother screaming in background and demanded that she break up with me and get it over with. Every time I saw her mother, I tried to be friendly or polite to her but she either scowl at me or storm out of the room. She continued to badmouth me and even made bizarre accusations about me. She claimed that I wasn’t serious about getting married and claimed that I was gay. She even told family members that she didn’t think that I was a nice person.

By the spring, my ex-girlfriend’s mood swings started to get worse. One night, my ex-girlfriend had too much to drink and she started grinding against me at a restaurant. After I quietly pushed her off of me and told her to stop, she started screaming at me and eventually pushed me out the door. When I returned, she continued to scream at me and had to be told to leave by the manager.

On the way home, I told her we were finished but she wanted to talk. She asked for another chance and promised to stop drinking. When I wouldn’t reconsider, she got upset demanded that I get out of her car and kicked me in my ribs and threw a half empty wine bottle out the window. The following day, she changed her mind and tried to convince me to give her another chance. After she got her friends to contact me, I felt like I had no choice but to give in.

In the following weeks. My ex-girlfriend’s mood swings got worse and she even got pushy and demanding. When I tried breaking up with her again, she again forced me to reconsider and sometimes held me hostage in her house until I reconsidered. Personally I felt trapped. When my ex-girlfriend and I got back together, this was not what I had envisioned. Now I felt depressed and noticed that I had gained weight.

I decided that I needed an outlet for my feelings and decided to sign up for an obstacle course race. My ex-girlfriend immediately thought it was a dumb idea and was upset that I ask her permission. She also hated that I joined a Sunday softball league with a friend, even though she worked on that day. She always expected me to stay home and meet with her after she got off of work.

The night before the race, my ex-girlfriend decided to rehash an old argument about how she felt that I wasn’t committed to her and believed her mother was about me. The argument continued as I was driving her home and when I tried to break up with her again, she lost her temper and started hitting me over the head with a book as I was driving. Afterwards, I was forced to change my mind after she refused to leave my car. The following week, I finally broke up with my ex-girlfriend after I cancelled my plans with her and she furiously berated me on the phone. Unlike last summer, this was for good.

In the months that followed, my ex-girlfriend continued to try to contact me.
Sometimes she scolded me for breaking up with her and occasionally she begged for another chance. She even would scream at remaining mutual friends when they wouldn’t tell her any information they had on me. I also learned that she was in a serious car accident that some of her friends believe might been a suicide attempt. Eventually, she stopped trying to contact me and I learned that she had started dating another guy and was once again taking bipolar medication.

As for me, I rediscovered how to have fun again. I made a lot of new friends on the softball team I joined that summer. It helped that we won the championship and I ended up making the game winning catch. I also lost 50 pounds and have since competed in 3 more obstacle course races. I even started dating again and am currently in the early stages of a new relationship. It’s been fun and I can't remember the last time I felt this happy or excited about my life.
