It's quite funny actually, as I have already posted on this site before with a brief submission on Jan 28, 2014. My first post was about my first boyfriend. We ended up getting back together on and off for about another 8 months before things finally ended for good (thank god!)
Looking back, I don't know why I was so sad. I just think it was because we had dated for 2 years, and he knew me inside out. But I wasn't serious about him, I know I could never end up with someone like him. After the breakup, I didn't expect to get into a relationship for a long time, maybe years. But only a few short months later my dream guy came along, someone I never thought would notice me.
He was amazing; 6'4", incredibly handsome, polite, smart, sweet, funny. I was in shock. I don't know if I ever had anyone on such a high pedestal before. And he wanted me back. Life, at that time, seemed like a dream come true, and I think that's where I ruined myself. I made HIM my dream. But I loved him so much and I was still in awe of everything he did. And all was well until moving away to a different city so I could go to university after only 4 months of dating.
Things changed. He changed. His true colors came out while living together. A once caring, dreamy person became cold, distant and indifferent. I had gained 15 pounds in the 6 months after university, and it apparently caused a huge problem for him (as he told me- "I would treat you better if you were thinner"). He would only return some of my texts, and got annoyed of me easily. The first 5 months living together were difficult, feeling like I was always reaching for him and he was just pulling away. I cried all the time. Looking back, after moving in that's mostly what I did with my time.
We've been broken up for a month now, but still living together because we signed into a lease. I've been trying to keep it civil but he seems to like hurting me constantly. A day doesn't go by without some sort of remark like "I enjoy this place when you're not here" or "you're not going to lose weight just watching a show about vegetables". After we agreed to try and be friends. Obviously it's hardest for me as I still care a great deal and he doesn't care at all, but yet I still try. I wake up everyday knowing that there's just going to be another heartbreaking moment. And every so often I think back to how it was in the beginning, everything was so perfect. I didn't want it to end up like this. What helps me to keep moving forward is to look at his attitude, he's treating me like dirt. And for what? All I did in our relationship was want to grow our love into something huge, but he couldn't see my value. I ask him what went wrong, he comes up with minuscule excuses such as "you never made me a friendship bracelet when you said you would" or "you turned on the light when I was sleeping". It's all a sad excuse to hide behind the real truth that he's shallow, and that once he saw me for my real self, without the nice body and makeup and clothes, he decided I wasn't good enough anymore. And i'm so glad that i'm stronger than I was 2 years ago, because no i'm not as sad as I was then, I've grown. I still cry sometimes, but I have to remember that I have the good heart, and important attributes to make love last, and him not being able to see that is HIS problem.

I have known him from 8th class. He was the most flirtatious boy in my school. He was always behind my friend. I just hated him that time. We were in different classes until 10. Then for three years we were classmates. In plus one we both were absent for biology test paper.I was ill and he was lazy. However next day teacher prepared a new question paper. Only two of us were in the classroom. That was the first time he noticed me and asked me to show the answers. But i didn't help him. Because i just hated him.But after that we started talking and towards the end of school life we became best friends. He always flirted with other girls but was a genuine friend to me which sparked my soul. After school we joined different colleges.I felt very lonely those days and i don't had any phone for communication. After one year i was the one who proposed him. To my surprise he said he too feel the same for me. I was in cloud nine. Only communication was through messages. So yes somehow it was a long distance relation. We were from different religion which is a big problem in India even now. So we had a doubt about our future. Anyhow i loved him wholeheartedly. I thought he too loves me badly. But then i heard the gossip. I have a best friend from school other than my lover. he told me that my lover is having an affair with another girl. I didn't took it seriously then. But slowly i found he is not talking to me much. Then one day he told me that he loves someone else. How do you feel when you hear something like this from the one whom you love most? Yes it was terrible. It broke my heart and soul. I was numb for almost one year. Nothing was okay. It was my final year in college and i got very low marks.I never hid anything from my parents. I was afraid to face them. I was feeling very guilty. I was not okay until my post graduation. After that i gave myself a reality check. In between this i forgot about my family,my dreams and myself. It's been four years after breakup. I changed myself completely. I have lot of dreams to achieve. I am on a chasing mode now. My wrong and right decisions made myself complete. Now i don't fell any guilt or something anymore. But after that i never fallen in love. Even an infatuation scare the hell out of me. I am happy as single. I have a word for those broken hearts out there. Let him or her go. Tomorrow is always a new day. These moments will never come back. Be happy and always stay with your family.
Thanks for reading (i'm little bit weak in English.Sorry for that)

It was a long distance relationship that lasted for three years. I was too excited about meeting her in April for the first time after the stuff we shared together. I loved her a lot, and she was my motivation. I can say my life was turned upside down; I just didn't want to be an ordinary boyfriend for her, I mastered three languages, I became top of my class, and I was accepted for almost a position. I wanted to just do more with myself so that I can be worthy of her before I propose. Anyway, then three months ago, she developed a habit of not talking/texting me for days, and the reason was she doesn't want to interrupt my studies. Then, she would start meaningless arguments. Until, one day, she suddenly started saying that I never was any good for her, and she owes me nothing. That was right after she graduated, and she never talked ever since, deleting my numbers, every other thing except facebook. Then, I woke up one day about a month later, seeing her sharing a post of a quote "it's unlikely for a girl with high standard like me to date a piece of sh*t". I just liked her post, and I understood the message. It didn't take long for me to remove her before she would have done herself. Though, I would sometimes stare at my whatsapp screen on her number, waiting to see her status changing to online so that I know she is alright. It gives me some remedy, and as a matter of fact I am thankful because I was put on the right track because of her, I still owe her something, however.

Met my ex-boyfriend who was going into the army. We hit it off, I knew I didn't want to stay with him whilst he went into the army. So off he went 5 months later, I broke it off. He refused to accept it and so before Xmas I dumped him once again face to face, then again at New Year via phone...and then we went around in circles until Valentines Day came around and I freaked and ended it via text. He dropped off my Valentines Day present to my Mum's house which was months supplies of canned fish and canned food. I kinda felt awful! Still think of him 6 years later, but realise I was just too immature to cope with it all!

My names is Scarlett Withmore, I am 17 years old, and life for me has just sucked in every way. My family and I moved to Somerville, a small town in Georgia about six months ago. Changes really suck and all, i thought life was over until I met Evan. Evan was my gorgeous neighbor with green eyes, dark brown hair, tall and lean, and captain of the swimming team, he was the unbelievably hot boy next door. At first I kind of stalked him, well i'd see him through our windows in our bedrooms which faced each other. Then he just started talking to me, and gosh did I died.. He asked me out and of course I said yes. Evan was simply perfect and life was as beautiful and perfect as it could get for me,until one night. It was my 18 birthday and Evan had promised he'd ask my hand in marriage. I called him once, twice, so many times that my fingers hurt so much from dialing. That night I cried so much, I thought he'd only used me just for his amusement, but I was wrong. Evan's mother came the next day. Evan had died in a car crash, one caused by a drunk driver. My life was over. The future we planned was buried with him. I still feel the pain, all of it, i just hope that one day I will heal, or least that I'll see him again at least once more.

About nine months ago, my girlfriend and I broke up. We had a relationship for about 4 years, but it felt like we knew eachother much longer because we saw eachother almost every day and we hardly ever had a fight. My (ex) girlfriend was a beautiful indonesian girl with mesmerizing dark brown eyes and the prettiest smile ive ever seen before. we had a lot in common and I love her like crazy ( i still do).The reason for our breakup was because of the fact that my parents are very traditional (im chinese btw) and strict. So that means that I am not allowed to date a girl that wasnt from the same root as mine and we are raised to have maximum respect for elder people, especially parents. In the beginning when we just started dating, my parents acted cool towards our relationship. that was because they didnt thought it was serious and they saw it more like friendship. But later when i told them that we are really boyfriend and girlfriend, they became mad and wanted me to find a chinese girl. I didnt listen to them and I Always had an argument with my parents because I love that girl so much. This went on for several years until that one moment i've had it all enough of all that fighting with my parents. Later ive been thinking about breaking up with her but i couldnt do it, i love her to much to lose her. I said before that im chinese and chinese people have a lot of respect for parents. so I told my parents: This is enough, I had it with all this fighting. I'll do whatever you want and break up with her''. This was the toughest I had to do in my life and when i saw her and didnt even told her in person. I broke up with her per text, because i couldnt watch her cry and suffer. I thought that i would get over her and that i would be one line again with my parents, but i was so miserably wrong. I still had arguments with my parents about other stuff and this went from bad to worse. plus i dont have my girlfriend to talk to about this stuff and support me. i thought that it would get better in the future but i was wrong again. its still the same it Always has been the same and now Ive lost the love of my life. I think about her everyday and i just cant forget her. everytime when I lay in bed i pretend that my cushion is her and that i hug her while I sleep and I even dream about her almost every night. I know that i sound like a complete idiot right now but i really still suffer. She moved on with her life and I still pretend in my imagination that I still have her. maybe i became mad or maybe im just an idiot. but one things for sure, this wound hasnt been healed a little bit and it wont be in a long time. it probably never will. but one thing is for sure, I still love her and I hope she will find happiness in the future, with me or without me.

After recovering from a rough two years of isolating heart ache, I finally felt happy within myself. I reunited with my old high school crush, who's company needless to say was pure enlightenment and began to build a strong, trusting relationship. we spent weeks at a time going back and forth between each others homes until my father had become ill and required my share of over night care and regular visits. so my girlfriend would make use of the spare time by going out with her friends reviving her old night life. i was endorsing her late night adventures and encouraged her to have fun while i was away; as i had complete trust in her loyalty.

As it was necessary for me to be away for some odd days of the week, it was common for my friend to regularly turn up unannounced at my home, this time to her welcoming hospitality. This i thought was positive company as he had previously supported me through my years of isolation which ended some few months before.

I became excited to have my relationship compatible with my friendship as i hadn't as much spare time for my friend as i had done during my great depression. though it dawned on me that my girlfriend had developed a noticeable distance that had become to evolve either from the nights out with the girls or to the least of my suspicion my closest childhood friend.

Until one morning on my way home from my fathers house i had thought to stop in to my friend's home with the intention of beginning one of my few days of rest, out with this friend.

Only to find my girlfriend under his sheets, sitting upright by her elbow staring daringly into my eyes as if to spell out the inappropriate deed i had committed by walking into the house unannounced.

Two days later i had met a stranger in the street in attempt to salvage my newly found personal strength. leading me to a small friendly gathering, a gathering of which was attended by my original break up accomplice looking ever so happy hand in hand with her new found lover.

..Aint ..Love ..Grand

I was living with a girl for 10 years, she owned her house and recently decided to buy a condo and put the house up for sale, all this with me as not more than passing thought in much of it in fact when we did view the condo together her question to me after agreeing to buy it was are you in or out? So that should have been a clue , anyway s about a week before possesion date she asks me if i wouldn't mind staying on my boat until it was time to move in, i returned the next day and sits me down and says she thinks its best if i don't move into the condo and that we never were a couple and that was that instantly homeless, i think if there was an award for coldest breakup this would be a contender

I met him online. He was different than my abusive ex-husband or any of the other pigs I had "dated" after ending it with my ex-husband. He seemed stable and career driven. We were inseparable yet we made a long distance relationship work for 3 yrs. He would come and see me every weekend. It felt normal. No arguing, no stress.I thought it was how a relationship was supposed to be. He got out of the military and moved in with me. We talked about a future but not in this way, not this soon. He had a hard time finding work and I found myself taking care of him financially and emotionally. He became like a 4th child. Things changed between us but not in a drastic way. He was married when I met him. He was going through a divorce but not on his own accord. Deep down inside, he did not want the divorce from his wife even though she did. He secretly took care of her even though he had no money to take care of himself. He continued to lie to me for years about his intentions with getting a divorce and every lie seemed believable. I held on because he was living with me and giving me more than he gave her. After 4 yrs of no divorce and no real commitment (Ring), I started to raise questions. He became nervous and fearful of losing what we had. He did the stupidest thing that sent our relationship spiraling. He proposed to me with a fake ring and lied to me about the value of the ring. His intentions may have been pure but his motives were not. He was fearful that I would ask him to move out and he had to do something to secure his spot in my home. It was only a matter of time (1 day) that I realized the ring was fake. He still lied about it. The lies continued for months about anything and everything to include the divorce that he "supposedly filed" but never did. Each lie drove me further away from him until it came to the point that I asked him to move out. It was a hard step for me because although I did not enjoy the lies, I enjoyed the companionship when I wanted/needed it and I enjoyed the security that he offered. He moved out with hopes that we would be back together. After he moved out, I realized how much I did not miss the lies and the stupidity he brought into my life. I realized we were not the perfect match that I thought we were. We still keep in touch but he thinks there is hope for us and there isn't. I have closed that chapter in my life ( I think anyways).

I met a guy online and we had a wonderful year together, until he got laid off from his job. He ended up taking year-long military orders in the Army Reserves in another state. Before he left, he told me that after his year was up, he was not going to come back but move to another city where his son lived. I had lived and worked in this other city for years, and so he convinced me to relocate with him there after a year. I got a job back there (across the country, I might add), almost immediately and moved out there to wait for him to finish up his orders and arrive. Well, his one year orders turned into two, and at the end of two, he still had no job and no prospects in the city I had moved to for him. He kept saying he was going to have to move into his parent's basement if he didn't find permanent employment soon. I wrote him this long romantic letter inviting him to come and live with me instead while he got on his feet, and then we could stay there or both find jobs elsewhere, but that we were stronger together. He responded by dumping me via email two days later, saying that he didn't want to move in with me, and didn't want me to move to where he was. This after three years of planning our future together down to the last detail. To console myself I checked into the Four Seasons and got wasted. He called me 72 hours later, all manic and excited, and told me that he thought things would work out if I just moved back across the country, to the city I had uprooted my life from and left my family and friends in, while he did another year or two in the same place he was. I'm moving back home to the city that I left, but not for him.
