My boyfriend of 9 months broke up with me when he finally admitted that he in fact, did not have time for me or time for a relationship. He was the type of guy that put work and his hobbies/interests first. At first I thought it was no big deal, because I saw him on a weekly basis. However, a few month in, he converted back into his usual (very busy) routines that consisted of study, rehearsal, gym, sports training, dancing, family commitment, and work. And when I tried to confront him, telling him that I think he doesn't have enough time for our relationship. However, he denied it and made up excuses like "I was disorganised" or "its because I just came back from holiday" and "it will never happen again, and if it does we can talk about it then".
And it did happen again. Quite a few times actually. Towards the end, he felt that I was pressuring him into seeing me more often, and that he feels like he needs to skip other commitments to see me, and that because of the stress, he wasn't sure if he loved me anymore, and wanted to break up.
I am deeply saddened by this because I feel betrayed and lied to. He made me feel incredibly special... to this day I still have a hard time believing that he is not around anymore.

Okay so two years ago I met this guy and when I first met him I absolutely hated him. He was obnoxious and irritating and got under your skin on purpose!! UGH! But, as life would have it, our seating charts in classes started putting us close to each other, so we began talking. And he surprised me by not being as bad as I had thought. We ended up becoming best friends somehow and he kept me smiling. I quickly realized I had caught feelings for him (how, I have no idea. I hadn't imagined myself as one to fall for an arrogant, popular guy). And, well, soon we started dating. We grew closer and I knew I had fallen for him bad. But sometimes it was as if he knew but didn't even care. Some days he would just be a total jerk to me, or (yeah, even better) I would find him flirting with another girl. I brought up these things to him and we ended up getting in a big fight about it. In the end, he yelled "Maybe we should just break up!" and I said okay. and he said okay. And he's moved on since.

June 2015 I dated a girl I met online. We were friends for about a month first though. I've never felt this way for someone before. She lived in the United States and I am in Canada. I gave her everything I had. We were originally suppost to meet in March for spring break of 2016. But In Augest she broke up with me for like a day lol. And I broke up with her a little bit after that cause of my insecurities. We got back together and literally a month later we got back together saying all these happy things to do when we finally meet in March!....Until November.(this isn't the worst part). She told me that her parents and her were busy on spring break. I was still in school (year after grade 12) when she told me this. I of course broke down upset. But in a week I got over it. So about a month later around Christmas we talked about seeing each other for our anniversary in June. I was so excited! I bought us matching necklaces with our names and anniversary date printed on them and alot of great stuff! So In February I was getting to the point of booking my flight to see her! I kept asking her where I should go to stay that's closest to her and where we would meet. She seemed really hesitant telling me and she finally told me she needed to work out her band schedule before I book anything. So I waited for about 2-3 months and she said it would probably be easier to meet half way in July. I couldn't belive it. So I said what would your parents think about that? You're only 17 and I'm 18 almost 19. So this is the thing....she never told her parents or anyone about me there! She told me she would when we first met but still she never did. She finally told her mother about me when I convinced her enough. I was so scared. Before she told her she said "I love you babe" I was waiting around for 15 minutes to hear back from her or her mother. It felt like an hour. I open my snapchat and it's a message from her saying "hey Curt....I don't want you dating my 16year old daughter ANYMORE"at this point my heart sank. I begged for her to give me a chance but she just kept saying "ITS DONE" I know she didn't wanna be with me anymore for whatever reason. But she told her mother to break us up to make it easier on herself. She lied about her age too after a year of being together. I've never felt so betrayed in my life.

I met him while browsing through people I may know on FB. I was 20 he was 19. His name was P. Sounds weird but we began dating before we even met in person 5 months later.
It was love at first sight literally...I've heard this saying and felt it was so corny and not possible BUT i'm a believer.
We both were struggling with our personal lives at the time of meeting so we filled those gaps which made us love even harder. Eventually, things started to decline. When it came to being emotionally supportive for me, and financial cracks he would always disappear. Perhaps after putting in 3 years I thought things would get better but they didn't. It didn't help that his mom was an older Dominican women. She hated that I was black, she hated everything about me. Over time things took its tole.
I recently decided to break things off finally a few days ago and throw in the towel. Not because I wanted to but because I felt I had to. I was physically attacked by his mom and assaulted while he stood near by and did nothing. With a huge open cut on my face, blood and all strangers bypassing were more concerned than he seemed.
The police got involved and he wasn't by my side and it was here when I realized. The person I met 3-4 years ago was not the person I'm with now.
I'll be the first to admit upbringing, infidelity, and insecurities drove this relationship to the ground. It's only been 3 days of feeling alone and empty out of the 3 and half year I was with him. He left me alone and in debt. Not even enough money for me to feed our cat that we got together. Its depressing but I plan on remaining strong.
Not to mention he treated me this way and I'm 2 and half months pregnant. I never understood how men could plant their seeds and not even feed the mouth of the women who carry their seeds. Im going to be strong and will raise this baby alone. He or she will be my new happiness. It break my hear that by law I can't just up and leave and at any point if he wanted to be involved he'd have every right to. Even though he doesn't deserve it. But this is life and the society we live it. So I'll just pray.

Me and my ex boyfriend were living together for almost 2 years when we broke up. The unforgetable date was December 29, 2015. He said he wanted to prioritize his family, friends and his self. He said he's tired with everything. I wasn't expecting that to happened. We were so happy last Christmas that's why I was really shocked. My heart was in bad shape after that. I tried to accept it and tried to think all of the bad things we had in the relationship but in the end everything went down. I couldn't focus at work, he said he won't go back to the apartment if i'm still there. Everything seems to be falling apart. He went home December 31 to get some clothes and I did take that chance to begged....begged...begged... but all he said was "no". I don't know what to do, I planned everything with him on it. I don't understand why it was so easy for him to let me go. For him to dumped me.. I gave my best and all in that relationship. I prioritized him in everything.. I tried to be okay for about 2 weeks when he started texting and I did reply because I missed him. We talked after 2 weeks and he said he wanted to give our relationship a chance but that chance did not last for a day. He texted me that night and all he said was "sorry". I was so hurt and hopeless again. I asked him to give me a week but he said "no" again. He agreed to have a dinner the next day where I ended begging for his love. I told him that I'm not expecting anything for him and asked him to give me 1 week to stay but he said "no". He said he wanted to go home and again I begged for him to accept me even just for a night and finally I heard the word "yes". That whole night was so painful, I just cried the whole night because he made me feel that I'm not there. Pain was higher that the love that I have. I prayed for more strength, I prayed that no one will also feel the pain that I have..

So, I have had my fair share of bad breakups, bad relationships and just bad times... when i met him, i just fell head of heals. one he was so good looking, i thought i was the luckiest girl in the world being able to call him mine.. he had the most amazing heart, so pure and always trying to be closer to God... I admired him so much for his humble personality and strive to be a better man... i loved him and he fell in love with me... but after time, we realized we both wanted different things, he didn't want to travel, he wanted to stay in the same small town, he didn't care for finishing college as i wanted to eventually get my doctorates... he said he felt like we just weren't compatable.. and it broke my heart but when it happened... i remembered my breakup before him and how i would lean on drinking and clubbing to find comfort only to lead myself into an even more painful path... this time, i decided to read the bible, to pray more.. and i am still trying to do so... things happen in our life, that makes us want to crawl into bed and never get up... but we have to be strong, and that strength doesn't come from drinking, or partying or hooking up with other people... it comes from the one who know us better than anyone else, the one who died so that we can have a chance... i dont know if you believe in God of not... or if you are struggling with faith, or if you just don't know about God, but when something happens in your life that brings you down... God could be using it as an opportunity to draw him closer to you... cause it's at our weakest that his strength shines the brightest... losing my boyfriend sucked, it broke my heart and i had to deal with a lot of self esteem issues... but i'm trying every day to be happy... to see the bigger picture... to be able to say i may not be fine right now, but God has a plan for me...
i just encourage anyone with a broken heart to pray, it is so powerful and can really make a difference... it is for me at least

I dated this boy for a year and a half. We were great together, we spent every day together. He was so crazy in love with me and he did everything for me. About a couple months ago I started to notice a change in him. We started to argue a lot and I finally just realized that he wasn't the one for me. The night we broke up he was at another girls house. And a month later they are together. I guess the reason he was different was because he liked her. I don't understand how you can move on from a year and a half relationship so fast. It makes me question everything. So, while he is out with his new girl and having the best time I am stuck with all the heart ache. Ive never felt so betrayed in my life. The girl was one of my friends. I hope that he gets what is coming towards him one day. I hope one day he hurts as much as I've been hurting. It's getting easier with time, but I still have them days like today where I am angry, hurt and bitter. Has anyone been through anything like this and how did you over come it?

I meet this girl at work, she's sexy, interesting, nice, everything I wanted really. I was rarely on shift with her when she started there, and then she takes time off for medical reasons. When she comes back, we get talking and begin to date. Everything's going well, really well; but then one day I realise that I have a lump on my nut sack. Not wanting to worry her, I don't tell her and try to get it checked out. I have to wait for 2 weeks with registering and making an appointment, and in this time I begin to stress out, fearing the worst, as I began to feel ill in other ways (btw all turned out to be nothing). Also during this time, she just suddenly stops texting me (she'd text me all the time when we weren't around each other). I have to make all the effort, and she keeps refusing to see me outside of work, where I just wanna tell her how scared I am of going to the doctors, but don't wanna text her it. When I see her at work I feel as though she doesn't wanna be around me. I knew she'd been talking to some other guy at work too, but he was in a relationship (with another girl at work) and I respected her too much to ever think too much of it. She texts me the night before my doctors appointment, breaking up with me for being distant. I was gutted, however I was given the all clear the next day at the docs, and I text her that day to tell her that I've been distant because of this, and that I still wanna be with her. She doesn't reply, and oddly enough I soon find myself getting over her. She takes a week off work, so I haven't seen her since she ended it. I try talking to her a few days back, just to get some dialog going between us, hoping we could get back together, or at least just not have it awkward between us when she gets back to work. Our convo's just small talk, and I get the impression things are over for good. Then that night things really go to shit, when I get a text off this girl at work. She tells me her bf broke up with her the same day my gf did with me, and then two days later our ex's slept together (these are the same people I mentioned earlier). They'd been texting each other behind our backs for weeks, she knows this having logged onto his fb profile and read the messages between them. 10 mins after receiving this text, I get one off my ex telling me the same thing. I'm livid and don't know what to do. I angrily text her back, insulting the shit out of her. I go into work a couple days later and almost everyone knows the story. Everyone's really supportive and stuff, but when I go in the next day he's there. I didn't know what to do, I wanted to hit him so badly, but I know that if I did, I'd lose my job. He can't even bring himself to look at me. She's got another week off now, and I begin hearing stuff about how much people disliked her and slutty stories people had heard about her. I also find out that people where only nice around her because she was with me. She comes back in just under a week, but I don't know what to do. It's easy for people to say just be the bigger man, but I almost find it embarrassing to go into work now. I wouldn't say she broke my heart, as I never really imagined us being together forever, but I did care for her and loved her, and for her to betray me in this way has just left me feeling shit.

I met him at work, we got to know each other and start dating. We were madly in love for 3 years and we were planning to get married, our obstacle were our parents. They did not get along, we tried and tried and it did not work out. We decided that it was best to move on since we are not meant to be although we were still in love. He was much older than me and it was the time for him to get married. His parents and friends were constantly introducing him to women but he was never interested. Until he started talking to one girl, at first it was normal and i ignored until it became everyday. I told him it is time for us to moveon since i dnt want to drag this relationship to nowhere. He agreed and 1 week after we stop talking, i checked his facebook and read a conversation with her all flirty. I never expected he would move on that fast. It hurts so bad.. I dnt understand how can he do that if he was really in love with me. I talked to him and told him what i thoughy and he said that he doesnt have time to move on he has to move fast, and no mattee what he stil cares. i dnt believe him and i really feel betrayed. What do I do, is it his rightt to do that or just disrespectful?
