I remember that it hurt. Hearing the words hurt - and at the same time, it felt like something out of a movie, like it wasn't happening. After all, how could it? It had been merely a week since our second anniversary, and as an anniversary gift she had given me a card that said, "I promise to be with you for all the years to come."
I couldn't even begin to process it. "How do you feel," she asks me, trying to decipher my off smile and my wondering eyes. I only smile because I don't know what to say, what to feel. I don't fight it, I merely say all-right, shed a couple tears, and drop her off at her house. It took me a couple days for my emotions to catch up with me - and oh boy, did they come in force. Like a thousand crashing waves, every single negative emotion in the book comes, all at once, all clamoring for my attention in a sea of deprecating voices: "you weren't enough," "she got tired of you," "you aren't good enough for anyone" ; and as I struggle to get them in check, I was still left wondering: why exactly did it happen?
I never got a straight answer to that question; at least, none that I understood. She mentioned that she wanted to try being with a girl (she's bi, but not in practice yet), that I had been insensitive about one fight that we had more than a year ago, that I was too unstable in my life for her to think about settling down with me. "If my ex had asked me to move in with him, I would've done it in an instant" she said. Surprisingly enough, her life wasn't in any way better than mine: a education major working as a cashier at one of the lowest paying grocery shops in the area, with no car telling me, a computer engineering major with a car, and a delivery job earning 2.5x more per hour as her.
While I could see how she was right, since I had been thinking about dropping out of school, and I had changed my major more than three times in the last six months, I just didn't understand why that was an issue now, all of a sudden. The only answer I can come up with is that perhaps the spark, that magical, elusive feeling that binds people together just died over time for her, while mine grew stronger and stronger. While she was thinking about how to break the news to me, I was thinking what would be the best date to travel to Disneyland with her, since she had told me not too long before, that she'd like me to propose to her at the Cinderella Castle.
I write this now, two months later, even thought it feels like a lifetime ago. My speculating and unstableness paid off after all; because I was willing to take risks, I dropped out of school, and started working in Real Estate. In the first month, I rose from Intern to District Manager at a local firm, and when some shady situations came to light regarding the owners, I left the firm, and opened my own. I'm earning four times what I was before, and it'll only grow from here. Even so, I still look back and wonder what could've been. When she ended things, it felt like someone had taken a hammer to the glass sculpture that was my future with her; and even though I'm not crying over it anymore, I have yet to pick up the pieces, and start again.

I have known him from 8th class. He was the most flirtatious boy in my school. He was always behind my friend. I just hated him that time. We were in different classes until 10. Then for three years we were classmates. In plus one we both were absent for biology test paper.I was ill and he was lazy. However next day teacher prepared a new question paper. Only two of us were in the classroom. That was the first time he noticed me and asked me to show the answers. But i didn't help him. Because i just hated him.But after that we started talking and towards the end of school life we became best friends. He always flirted with other girls but was a genuine friend to me which sparked my soul. After school we joined different colleges.I felt very lonely those days and i don't had any phone for communication. After one year i was the one who proposed him. To my surprise he said he too feel the same for me. I was in cloud nine. Only communication was through messages. So yes somehow it was a long distance relation. We were from different religion which is a big problem in India even now. So we had a doubt about our future. Anyhow i loved him wholeheartedly. I thought he too loves me badly. But then i heard the gossip. I have a best friend from school other than my lover. he told me that my lover is having an affair with another girl. I didn't took it seriously then. But slowly i found he is not talking to me much. Then one day he told me that he loves someone else. How do you feel when you hear something like this from the one whom you love most? Yes it was terrible. It broke my heart and soul. I was numb for almost one year. Nothing was okay. It was my final year in college and i got very low marks.I never hid anything from my parents. I was afraid to face them. I was feeling very guilty. I was not okay until my post graduation. After that i gave myself a reality check. In between this i forgot about my family,my dreams and myself. It's been four years after breakup. I changed myself completely. I have lot of dreams to achieve. I am on a chasing mode now. My wrong and right decisions made myself complete. Now i don't fell any guilt or something anymore. But after that i never fallen in love. Even an infatuation scare the hell out of me. I am happy as single. I have a word for those broken hearts out there. Let him or her go. Tomorrow is always a new day. These moments will never come back. Be happy and always stay with your family.
Thanks for reading (i'm little bit weak in English.Sorry for that)

It was a long distance relationship that lasted for three years. I was too excited about meeting her in April for the first time after the stuff we shared together. I loved her a lot, and she was my motivation. I can say my life was turned upside down; I just didn't want to be an ordinary boyfriend for her, I mastered three languages, I became top of my class, and I was accepted for almost a position. I wanted to just do more with myself so that I can be worthy of her before I propose. Anyway, then three months ago, she developed a habit of not talking/texting me for days, and the reason was she doesn't want to interrupt my studies. Then, she would start meaningless arguments. Until, one day, she suddenly started saying that I never was any good for her, and she owes me nothing. That was right after she graduated, and she never talked ever since, deleting my numbers, every other thing except facebook. Then, I woke up one day about a month later, seeing her sharing a post of a quote "it's unlikely for a girl with high standard like me to date a piece of sh*t". I just liked her post, and I understood the message. It didn't take long for me to remove her before she would have done herself. Though, I would sometimes stare at my whatsapp screen on her number, waiting to see her status changing to online so that I know she is alright. It gives me some remedy, and as a matter of fact I am thankful because I was put on the right track because of her, I still owe her something, however.

I met him online. He was different than my abusive ex-husband or any of the other pigs I had "dated" after ending it with my ex-husband. He seemed stable and career driven. We were inseparable yet we made a long distance relationship work for 3 yrs. He would come and see me every weekend. It felt normal. No arguing, no stress.I thought it was how a relationship was supposed to be. He got out of the military and moved in with me. We talked about a future but not in this way, not this soon. He had a hard time finding work and I found myself taking care of him financially and emotionally. He became like a 4th child. Things changed between us but not in a drastic way. He was married when I met him. He was going through a divorce but not on his own accord. Deep down inside, he did not want the divorce from his wife even though she did. He secretly took care of her even though he had no money to take care of himself. He continued to lie to me for years about his intentions with getting a divorce and every lie seemed believable. I held on because he was living with me and giving me more than he gave her. After 4 yrs of no divorce and no real commitment (Ring), I started to raise questions. He became nervous and fearful of losing what we had. He did the stupidest thing that sent our relationship spiraling. He proposed to me with a fake ring and lied to me about the value of the ring. His intentions may have been pure but his motives were not. He was fearful that I would ask him to move out and he had to do something to secure his spot in my home. It was only a matter of time (1 day) that I realized the ring was fake. He still lied about it. The lies continued for months about anything and everything to include the divorce that he "supposedly filed" but never did. Each lie drove me further away from him until it came to the point that I asked him to move out. It was a hard step for me because although I did not enjoy the lies, I enjoyed the companionship when I wanted/needed it and I enjoyed the security that he offered. He moved out with hopes that we would be back together. After he moved out, I realized how much I did not miss the lies and the stupidity he brought into my life. I realized we were not the perfect match that I thought we were. We still keep in touch but he thinks there is hope for us and there isn't. I have closed that chapter in my life ( I think anyways).

met him on a friendship site at first, and I had no intention to date anyone. I was 22 an year ago and that's when I met him there. We talked almost everyday for hours and I thought he had good views and ideas. I happened to read a few stories on his blog which were about his crushes or maybe girlfriends in the past. He never wanted to talk about his past,he told me he's not ready to tell me yet. By the way,I never sent him my picture, because we planned to meet in real. after few months, I realized that my mom was totally unhappy with me having a boyfriend, and I decided to break it. But that's when he missed me and i missed him too, and we got back together. I always was trying to convince my mom about us. Later, we fell much more in love, he asked me to marry me, thrice. And then I imagined things like that. He started to ignore me sometimes and used to come back again, though I told him I was not able to take it, he used to talk everyday but sometimes he still ignored me again. He started to be highly flirtatious and his chats were not making me feel comfortable. I finally told him not to make me feel uncomfortable. I asked him about marraige, he said that it involves many things and he do not know what the future holds. Then why should he propose to me?? . He did not tell anyone about me, not at least his mom. That always bothered me. He started to ignore me again for tv shows and his hobbies, and we were talking one night, I asked him if it's worth talking anymore, he said no, i wasn't expecting that answer, I asked him again, if anything is left to talk,he said no again. I asked him if anything is new in his life, he said maybe after 6 months, things can be new. I said, so that will happen, he said it happens if he finds someone. that's when i decided to break up. I went away and I went online again to make things clear. I asked him about it again, he said if i leave him,he'll find someone and he also acted like he's ok with me leaving,he didn't stop me. I told him, that I never thought of someone else or what I'd do if i broke up with him but as he's able to entertain such thoughts i asked him to break up with me. He asked me to go to sleep and never talked to me again. I also found his comments on another site in which he was flirting with girls, and I have stopped to feel comfty with him since then, it kinda broke my heart

I found a woman I wanted to marry I proposed. Everything was good, I was doing well in my career and got a promotion and I was excited to start a family and I recently purchased a nice condo.

I had immense self esteem issues throughout the engagement and dating. I had it ingrained in my mind that you need financial worth to be loved. I used pervious relationships as proof that I needed to be wealthy in order to be loved. I constantly assumed the relationship wouldn't work out and I would be abandoned for lack of wealth or cheated on. I walked around assuming people thought it was the "first" relationship I had due to my technology career.

It got to a point where I assumed I was being used for money (never knew exactly if it was true). She wanted me to buy a bigger home and fork out a lot for a wedding. It might of been her dream to have those things, but I didn't take it that way. It's like I subconsciously waited for an excuse to end the relationship. Instead of trying to work through it, I abandoned the relationship and out of the blue gave up on it. I was loved by her and her family and probably hurt everyone. It was the most rude, insecure, selfish thing I could of possibly did. I just gave up on a future, family, and love because of my insecurities and lack of maturity.

It was a Saturday and I called her and told her she didn't love me and that she loved money and to forget everything. It was the last time I ever spoke to her. Now that I look back on it, I am ashamed. I assumed she didn't love me and told her this, she refused and said she did. I told her to meet someone else that was financially wealthy enough and said to her that she would not see my ugly face again.

It's true you need to love yourself before you love another person as cliche as it sounds. Like if you don't value yourself, how do you expect someone else will. And the other "don't care what others think" is true. You can't go through life basing a relationship on what an outside force will think or assume.

If I could go back I would of handled myself very different and waited until I had my self esteem and confidence intact which I still lack.

My life was perfect until I met Srishti. I knew Srishti for quite some time, however I never liked her neither did I crave for her attention. My friends how we've teased me with her as she had proposed me(it was a dare given by her friend). At first it did not affect me at all as I had a wonderful girlfriend. One night as usual Srishti and I were chatting on Whatsapp. For some reason we began to talk about kisses and we decided that we would kiss each other. At first I thought of it as a prank and came up to her and asked for a kiss. However this prank did not remain a prank anymore and she really kissed me. I had goosebumps all over my body and I felt as if I was on cloud 9. After a while I felt awful as I already had a girlfriend and I basically cheated on her. Srishti and I began to meet up on regular basis and our kissing still continued. She also had a boyfriend at that time and we did not realize that what we did could give a spark to a beautiful relationship.

After a while I broke up with my girlfriend as I really wanted Srishti to be a part of my life. On 15th September 2014 I started dating Srishti. At first things were great. As time passed and since now I got to know her even better I realized she flirted a lot with boys. She gave her number to a guy she doesn't know personally and is a friend of our best friend. I had to step in so I started putting restrictions on her because I cared for her and loved her unconditionally.(im a very over possessive boy) I had never cried for a girl in my life before.Life got interesting with her because we always had common interests, we shared everything about each other, we never hid things, we just could wait to see each other. I mean her cute face, lovely smile, breath taking kiss..I felt special when I was with her. I never admitted this infront of her but I WAS INDEED THE LUCKIEST GUY TO HAVE HER AS MY GIRLFRIEND.She cared for me, she was there for me when I needed her. I just never showed the appreciation. All I ever did was scold her for her flaws. And now I realize that what I did was the most awful thing. Today her dad decided to send her to another university and me being insecure and not trusting her sadly had to break up with her. The moment we broke up I burst into tears. I still have watery eyes.
I HOPE SOMEONE READS THIS

I was in a relationship with a girl for last 6 years.I still remember the day when i first saw her in our chemistry class.she was the most beautiful girl i had ever seen.i felt in love with her at first sight.I became friend of her in few days.after one month i proposed her.one week later she said yes to me..i still remember the first kiss of her..i was the first boy in our class.she is not good at study.i started teach her at her home..as time goes we came closer to each other mentally, emotionally, physically like a married relation.16 hours we were connected to each other..i made her pass in her exam sacrificing mine(how i cant elaborate now).my 12th marks dropped down to 82% from 95.I got chance in Indian institute of technology(IIT) but i sacrificed that just to stay with her.but i managed to get chance in best state university.so we were again together..things were going smooth.but there were some ups and down which is not very fatal..in the meantime we were about to have a baby but as we were not married i have to abort our baby.;-(.
she was doing her b.com and after finishing her degree she got a job through her sister's husband's contact in a MNC (deloitte).but my degree was not finished as it is 4 year long.In my final year i became very busy for my career, for my business n all.i was not giving her time.but i was not flirting with other girls.things become tougher.I was unable to get a job and got frustrated. In the mean time i noticed sudden change in her behavior.one day i checked her fb inbox.and then...how can i tell you i found her chatting with one of her office colleague in suspicious manner.i caught her.but till now she is denying this fact.she give me breakup recently.blocked me everywhere.
I cant forget her.i love her still..I tried to forget her.took pills, marijuana, drugs every day.but still find no peace..i feel like destroying myself.1 month passed.today is her birthday.i miss her,.friends i cannot tell you how much pain inside me.i miss her.i love her.
you know she used to tell me while keeping her head on my chest "this is the most beautiful and peaceful place in this world" so how can she forget all these..i love you dear.but i have to forget you

Year 9:
I met him on a train, he went to my brother school.
September 17th 2012, he asked me out.

Year 11:
Almost two years, we were the strongest couple in our school, he was kind, caring, perfect, we won prince and princess at our school formal.
I often overreacted at some stuff, and whenever i did i would always pull the "lets break up then" card, but we always worked them out, always! We were so tight, and he was so clingy and i loved that about him.
Then one day we had a fight, we were skyping and he shared screens with me and it was porn, and then he quickly hung up and said "i don't know how it got there." I wasn't mad, just upset, i couldn't even satisfy my own boyfriend, my self esteem dropped i guess. He knew i was upset and kept asking if i was mad, and i chucked the "lets take a break then" card. I regret it.
He didn't even fight for me.
He texted me a day before my birthday that "I hurt him too much" and he "couldn't handle it" 5 days before our 2 year anniversary.

To think that they guy who planned your whole future together, told you where he was going to propose, how many kids you two were having, break up with you, yeah. that sucks.

Am I in the wrong? Ah, im so confused.
