Sped, thanks for the input. No, he really was serious about spending the weekend at this girl's hometown. And sped, surely, if he really liked me, he'd asked me for commitment way before 10 months, and he wouldn't make that trip when I got upset. No commitment, no sex..

I think that the guy was interested in something you couldn't provide him.Possibly sex, since it appears that you guys weren't boning.Definitely there was no hot spark between you.I really believe that there was no other girl and that he made that up to see if you would show some reaction or show any passion for the relationship.You showed nothing.You didn't get upset and told him that he could go off and spend the weekend with another chick. To him that may have meant you had no commitment to your relationship and no deep interest in him. Didn't care enough about him to show any concern that he was off with another girl.If it was a test, that was wrong of him.But nevertheless, you failed the test.I think you got too complacent and comfortable.You probably really liked him a great deal and he probably liked you just as strongly.He wanted more and you didn't come thru.After he left for the weekend, it doesn't appear that you made any attempt to contact him.So again, you are showing no interest in this guy.Right or wrong, he's decided that you are not interested in him.So there is no other girl but he has left you because he thinks you have no feelings for him.If you DO have feelings for him and miss the relationship, not just the companionship, then you need to contact him right away.If all you really wanted was companionship and no relationship, then go buy a cat and leave him alone.
