So this all started from meeting this great guy in a game. I know meeting people usually isn't a great idea especially dating them but that didn't really bother me anymore. I met him in the game and we started talking that day. He told me about himself and I decided to as well. Then a red flag came up. He said he liked this girl...yet asked me out the day we met just to "try it out" and see how far that goes. So of course I accept his proposal. This had to have been the biggest mistake of my life. We started calling later on every week and it would be so awkward, the silence and everything. School was around the corner which was online since the whole pandemic happened. I met this girl and we would start communicating in the meets. I asked if she had discord...and she said yes! So i decided to add her. That day when I added her on discord and on game, we started talking more often. She decided to invite to this group chat in discord which had her best friend, crush, and me. I asked them all if its okay that I add my boyfriend. His name was Lume. I added him and that point on everyone liked him and would talk to him 24/7. He started slowly ignoring me and playing with them more often. Mind you I was very busy at that time and had no time to play. I got really upset and jealous because he would be bffs with the girl that he cheated on me with. We aren't at that point yet so, this day I decided to see what he was playing because he was playing with ash (the girl I met in the meetings). Then I noticed he was playing with everyone. Ashs crush, best friend, and Lume. Mind you I hated her crush. Her crush is the girl the Lume cheated on me with. Her name was Izzy. Izzy and I fought in the group at first due to her flirting with Lume. Yet Lume took her side. Another red flag huh? So I got so pissed I ignored him. We started fighting ect.....then depression hit. Lets get to the point, Ash and Izzy dated then broke up which I found strange. Lume later on in the weeks broke up with me....saying I was manipulated. This was a day that I was in call with him and Izzy!!! She knew the whole plan. He decided to block me so I did it back. I still talked to ash since she talked to Lume and Izzy. I was perfectly fine after the break up, I got over it little by little..then something happened. They started dating. Izzy decided to show pics of Lume kissing her in game or whatever and confessing love to her. I broke down. Of course she liked him too and mind you this was when Lume was dating me and Izzy was dating Ash. They are both fucking cheaters. I tried to ask them and yes we did argue over text and I was going all out, but I didn't give a shit. Lume broke up with her due to cheating on her. Then I started talking with Izzy again for a while and we got along yet it ended. Ash dated her best friend who was transgender to a girl and was straight on lesbian. They broke up too. She apparently didn't give a shit about us since she only wanted attention. She talks to Lume now and I'm pretty sure everyone else is too. I hope Karma gets him. He started dating more girls and they would break up. Hes a cheating bastard and you ladies should never date online especially when you notice red flags. Think twice, now I'm in a happy relationship with someone irl and I'm done with people online.

I started to like this guy when I was in school. One day I was with my friends and they were face timing him and we were all playing truth or dare. Some how the truth question was... Who do you like? since it was his question he started to hesitate but bravely he said my name. My hear dropped to the floor. I told him I liked him too. He texted me later "Hey Cutie" and we started to talk. We talked about random crap and said things like "Love you"or we sent heart emojis to each other. In school we would flirt and talk and he asked me out. People say that being so young I don't know what love is. Or how to do it. I disagree but even if that was true... I'm positive I know this.. I CAN love someone and feel like they stabbed me in the chest saying that they loved me one day and don't like me the next. We can even look at each other the slightest bit now without is being awkward. I hate walking into a room with it because I feel so much anxiety. How can it be that I'm still not over him? Someone PLEASE tell me... How do I get over him?

We were together for 3 years and it just went down in flames. Since we are southern down here we went catfishing all summer. The first time I got to see him this summer was when we went fishing and he act like he never loved me. All he done was ignore me all night then finally I walk up to him and I ask what his problem is and he tells me I'm too young for him. We were 4 years apart. I watched him flirt with other girls every night literally. He just laughed at me and so one night I punched him in the jaw and it felt really good. Then I thought I was done seeing him for good but he showed up at the lake and he just stared all night. I cried so much this summer. The sad thing is, is that he was the one person I depended on to make me laugh but this summer he was the one who made me cry my eyes out. He is the reason I do not believe in love. I still see him often in fact today he came to my house and it got awkward. I miss him but he is such a coward and a jerk. He taught me some lessons I will never forget and taught me to not let my expectations cause my heartaches because that is exactly what happened here. I depended on someone who I thought could make it better but he was just like he others. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Me and my boyfriend has been together for 9 months. When we started dating to me it was more about looks but not all relationships start with a heart full of feelings. But the longer we were together the more I started to fall for
Him we would spend every weekend together at first it was awkward but we started getting really close to the point where he was the first one I would go to when I was having a bad day or problem. We would talk from the minute we woke up to the minute we would go to bed. We had our arguments but what relationship doesn't. I was 14 he was the first guy I ever Truley loved. We had a lot of problems with me snapchating other boys he thought it was something more than what it was. It was jealously that killed our relationship even though we fought a lot about it I was so blinded by something I thought was love that I never imagined us breaking up. We had plans for the future at the age of only 14 to other people they will look at it and say that's kids for you. But I think I really did love him one day he texted me and said it was over. He had said that before but never ment it. But this time it was diffrent. He didn't talk to me after that he just kept saying we would talk about it that weekend that weekend we met up at the fair we talked about it I kept saying sorry and he kept saying "I can't" "I'm sorry but I can't" he stood up because he has to leave and gave me a long hug. And said he was sorry. I sobbed in his arms and told him I didn't want to go he said he had to. He hasn't talked to me since. I've tried to reach out to him and he says he can't go back. How come I still cry myself to bed. But he can't she's a tear to a girl he said he loved a girl who he was with for 9 months. I get scared that I will never find that feeling again. Someone so perfect. I'm scared to love.

He was my 1 year senior friend. That night he said he liked me. Idk if I had feelings for him or not. But my best friend said that he's a really good guy and that I should approve his proposal. And yes, I did. But as I said I didn't know that if I had feelings for him that's why I didn't say romantic words as I know it's not good being superficial. But after 3 months I confessed that I truly loved him Yeah he waited those 3 months for me. All went quite good the next 3 months. I was his Baby/Babe/Bae/Love. He loved me a lot. But then something happened and he wanted to break up. I didn't want to force him so I agreed. But the next day he said that he can't leave me and again I agreed. Actually we never met face to face properly. After a few weeks after final exams he stopped talking to me but I called him and everything was back to normal. The next month he went thousand miles away from me to another state. He had asked me to call him everyday before he went. But after he went there he didn't text properly. Talked weird and like he didn't want to talk. As a result I didn't call or text him. After 3 months he texted me that he was missing me. Even I did so. That's why I accepted him. But nothing was normal. I felt awkward an all stuff. We had a fight. He did apologize but I was not cool at all. I replied rudely. So he said "let's break up". I replied Affirmative. But then I realized I can't do without him. I texted a long message with an I love you at the end. He said he was confused and that he would reply After Some days as his exams were approaching. Today he texted that he didn't know what I feel but wanted to be out of this totally. I agreed but bashed at him. Bombarded him with rude words and at last congratulated for his new girl. He thanked me. I thanked him For teaching me that all guys are the Same. He said "mention not'. And blocked me on all social networks.
That's how it all ended.
I wanna get over him now. But I feel bad that I talked that rudely.

We were together 18 months. In the final months she said she worried I wasn’t earning enough and doubted our ‘compatibility’ with contradictory reasons, yet would reject my suggestions to break-up (I always had to be the one to bring it up). When we eventually did it was hard, but I couldn’t take the uncertainty.

Afterwards it felt like we hadn’t broken up, talking as normal. She told me she still loved me and was upset. Her birthday was coming up and she was working nights that weekend, so I thought I would deliver her presents/belongings on one of the nights. But she wanted to see me, and said she’d been struggling after the break-up, so I agreed to come after Monday lunchtime following her final night shift.

When I arrived she came out her bedroom naked, claiming we hadn’t confirmed I was coming round (she sent an odd text that morning asking what I was up to that day, to which I replied to confirm/remind, and tried to ring four times). She grabbed a dressing gown and opened her presents. I sensed awkwardness and then it clicked; there was a guy in her bed.

I felt sick and humiliated. She said he was a locum she’d met at work over the weekend, it hadn’t meant anything, etc. I said I wanted answers/closure to move on (this upset her, yet I’d found her moving on!). She even blamed me for turning up. The next day she became remorseful and wanted to talk in person, but I wanted immediate answers – it had been an unnecessary and horrible thing to do.

A week later she called me and I apologised for how I’d reacted, even though I’d suffered a trauma! She wouldn’t discuss what happened, distressed at the slightest mention. She’d flipped the situation and gone back to claiming I was in the wrong. At the end we agreed we would meet to exchange stuff. That was the last time we spoke; 8 weeks later she just ignored me and mailed my stuff without any words.

The lesson here is that there is no such thing as a good break-up. I thought I was having one, and then she had other ideas. So, when you break-up with someone, do just that – cut contact and stay away. And speak to people (friends, parents, counsellor, etc.) – they will stop you from making things worse.

I meet this girl at work, she's sexy, interesting, nice, everything I wanted really. I was rarely on shift with her when she started there, and then she takes time off for medical reasons. When she comes back, we get talking and begin to date. Everything's going well, really well; but then one day I realise that I have a lump on my nut sack. Not wanting to worry her, I don't tell her and try to get it checked out. I have to wait for 2 weeks with registering and making an appointment, and in this time I begin to stress out, fearing the worst, as I began to feel ill in other ways (btw all turned out to be nothing). Also during this time, she just suddenly stops texting me (she'd text me all the time when we weren't around each other). I have to make all the effort, and she keeps refusing to see me outside of work, where I just wanna tell her how scared I am of going to the doctors, but don't wanna text her it. When I see her at work I feel as though she doesn't wanna be around me. I knew she'd been talking to some other guy at work too, but he was in a relationship (with another girl at work) and I respected her too much to ever think too much of it. She texts me the night before my doctors appointment, breaking up with me for being distant. I was gutted, however I was given the all clear the next day at the docs, and I text her that day to tell her that I've been distant because of this, and that I still wanna be with her. She doesn't reply, and oddly enough I soon find myself getting over her. She takes a week off work, so I haven't seen her since she ended it. I try talking to her a few days back, just to get some dialog going between us, hoping we could get back together, or at least just not have it awkward between us when she gets back to work. Our convo's just small talk, and I get the impression things are over for good. Then that night things really go to shit, when I get a text off this girl at work. She tells me her bf broke up with her the same day my gf did with me, and then two days later our ex's slept together (these are the same people I mentioned earlier). They'd been texting each other behind our backs for weeks, she knows this having logged onto his fb profile and read the messages between them. 10 mins after receiving this text, I get one off my ex telling me the same thing. I'm livid and don't know what to do. I angrily text her back, insulting the shit out of her. I go into work a couple days later and almost everyone knows the story. Everyone's really supportive and stuff, but when I go in the next day he's there. I didn't know what to do, I wanted to hit him so badly, but I know that if I did, I'd lose my job. He can't even bring himself to look at me. She's got another week off now, and I begin hearing stuff about how much people disliked her and slutty stories people had heard about her. I also find out that people where only nice around her because she was with me. She comes back in just under a week, but I don't know what to do. It's easy for people to say just be the bigger man, but I almost find it embarrassing to go into work now. I wouldn't say she broke my heart, as I never really imagined us being together forever, but I did care for her and loved her, and for her to betray me in this way has just left me feeling shit.

*Hi! So I'm labeling myself as John and the gf as Tonya (neither of these are the real names btw) and keep in mind it's not very interesting as we are only 13 year old adolescents but I digress.*
So, Tonya and I have been following each other on social media for a while only admitting to close friends our attraction for the other. We have never talked irl since we had no classes together. My school was holding a social eventXD on Oct. 31st and we both happened to go. We talked and had a great time and we didn't even know about the other liking the other yet. We started texting etc. and finally, on Nov. 8th, we started dating. The next few months of my life were the best even if there was a lot of arguing. It never was serious so we just didn't mind.(none of this happened irl, only whilst texting which is why I loved always being near her) Anyways, in March, we argued like Hell for a few days and here's how it went down. We just randomly started being awkward around each other then we started to fight, yatatatatata, and she was about to break up with me but I convinced her not to but the next day I asked her if she loved me then we started fighting again so I told her to not talk to me until tomorrow(Which is when I would be breaking up with her) but I only asked her that because we started fighting the day before because she said she didn't love me like she did a month ago. She treated it like it was a stupid question so yeah. That night, all I did was cry, I didn't sleep. I cried. The next day we broke up and i started crying while I broke up and we hugged then we stopped texting for a while. It still hits home every time I think about it cuz she went for at least a month just dating me because she felt like she had to.
Recently, I've been trying to get on her good side because in a week or so, we have a dance coming up and I want to try again.
My attempts at getting on her good side are horrible and keep getting worse so, wish me luck

Okay.. here we go...
Everything was great in my relationship we had been together for 9 months and known each other since we were babies- our mothers used to have play dates!
One Tuesday night, he seems a bit strange. This was wierd, a bit distance, I id never seen him like this ever before and I was going to call him on it but the moment passed. Before he dropped me home he said how he hoped we were going to be together forever and how he never wants to let me go.
The next day - Wednesday I arrange to see him to see if he's ok because the previous evening had made me think.
We go out for a drink, we sit there and he says we should end.
I was stumped!!!
He said we just have to end and he was soo sorry and how this was the hardest thing he's ever done and that he still didn't know if he had done the right thing.....
I was so shocked.
Out of the blue.
This was my first proper relationship, first love and now first break up?!
I managed to hold it together till he dropped me off home (the most awkward car ride I have ever experienced) we hugged in the car, I get inside my house and then totally break down, I cried for hours. No exaggeration.
Well that was a year ago, we still see each other - in the same volunteering program - but haven't said a word to each other.
It was just so wierd. He started going out with this girl in September, they got engaged in December and are getting married in June.
Still wierd though.

I met my ex-girlfriend on an online dating website and things got serious pretty quickly. She had bipolar disorder but was not getting treated. She lived with her parents and had a rocky relationship with her domineering and controlling mother. I always got the impression that her parents viewed my ex-girlfriend as a disappointment in comparison to her two older sisters who were both married with their own families. It seemed like her parents were happy with just about anybody who take my ex-girlfriend off her hands.

Initially I got along with her parents. I attended family gatherings, holidays and even went on a vacation with them. Over time, however, things changed. It started during a dinner we had with her parents. Her mother had a habit of scolding my ex-girlfriend about seemingly petty things. Even though it was an awkward situation that was uncomfortable, her mother was very unapologetic and instead got upset at me for not talking.

After two years together, we started to run into some problems. My ex-girlfriend was pressuring me into getting engaged, mainly so she could get my health insurance and get treated for her bipolar disorder. She even talked about eloping first so she didn’t have to wait to claim my insurance. I started to feel that the relationship was a little one-sided. We practically spent all of our free time together and I was bothered she never showed much interest in any of my hobbies and was always very vocal about how stupid they were. Another problem were her mood swings which often lead to arguments, which occasionally took place in public places.

After we broke up, I went out on my own while my ex-girlfriend immediately jumped into another relationship. Also during that time, her parents sort of relented and allowed her to get treated for her bipolar disorder. After a few months, we both realized that we still had feelings for each other and decided to get back together, promising that things would be different.

At first not everyone was excited that we were back together, mainly her parents. They were upset because they believed her new boyfriend would’ve eventually married her and because they believed I had caused my ex-girlfriend’s mood swings. My ex-girlfriend’s mother was upset at me over an incident that happened a year ago that never occurred. Even though my ex-girlfriend believed her, I was suspicious of her mother.

Initially everything seemed to be going great. The relationship was a lot more balanced and because my ex-girlfriend was taking medication she wasn’t getting those mood swings that plagued us last time. Around the holidays, things started to turn. I was driving my ex-girlfriend to the airport and my car got a flat tire. As I pulled into the gas station, she started screaming at me, like she did before she was taking her medication. It was so bad that the attendants felt sorry for me and gave me the replacement tire for free. Even though my ex-girlfriend wrote off the incident as holiday-related stress, it was the first indication that something wasn’t right.

Over the next month, my ex-girlfriend continued to act erratically and decided to break up with me on Valentine’s Day, only to change her mind the following day and the same pattern would occur every few weeks. Also during that time, my ex-girlfriend discovered that her mother had tricked her into not taking her bipolar medication and had told her doctor that she no longer needed them causing her doctor to believe she was misdiagnosed.

Eventually, my ex-girlfriend’s mother began to act even more coldly towards me. During an argument over the phone, I overheard her mother screaming in background and demanded that she break up with me and get it over with. Every time I saw her mother, I tried to be friendly or polite to her but she either scowl at me or storm out of the room. She continued to badmouth me and even made bizarre accusations about me. She claimed that I wasn’t serious about getting married and claimed that I was gay. She even told family members that she didn’t think that I was a nice person.

By the spring, my ex-girlfriend’s mood swings started to get worse. One night, my ex-girlfriend had too much to drink and she started grinding against me at a restaurant. After I quietly pushed her off of me and told her to stop, she started screaming at me and eventually pushed me out the door. When I returned, she continued to scream at me and had to be told to leave by the manager.

On the way home, I told her we were finished but she wanted to talk. She asked for another chance and promised to stop drinking. When I wouldn’t reconsider, she got upset demanded that I get out of her car and kicked me in my ribs and threw a half empty wine bottle out the window. The following day, she changed her mind and tried to convince me to give her another chance. After she got her friends to contact me, I felt like I had no choice but to give in.

In the following weeks. My ex-girlfriend’s mood swings got worse and she even got pushy and demanding. When I tried breaking up with her again, she again forced me to reconsider and sometimes held me hostage in her house until I reconsidered. Personally I felt trapped. When my ex-girlfriend and I got back together, this was not what I had envisioned. Now I felt depressed and noticed that I had gained weight.

I decided that I needed an outlet for my feelings and decided to sign up for an obstacle course race. My ex-girlfriend immediately thought it was a dumb idea and was upset that I ask her permission. She also hated that I joined a Sunday softball league with a friend, even though she worked on that day. She always expected me to stay home and meet with her after she got off of work.

The night before the race, my ex-girlfriend decided to rehash an old argument about how she felt that I wasn’t committed to her and believed her mother was about me. The argument continued as I was driving her home and when I tried to break up with her again, she lost her temper and started hitting me over the head with a book as I was driving. Afterwards, I was forced to change my mind after she refused to leave my car. The following week, I finally broke up with my ex-girlfriend after I cancelled my plans with her and she furiously berated me on the phone. Unlike last summer, this was for good.

In the months that followed, my ex-girlfriend continued to try to contact me.
Sometimes she scolded me for breaking up with her and occasionally she begged for another chance. She even would scream at remaining mutual friends when they wouldn’t tell her any information they had on me. I also learned that she was in a serious car accident that some of her friends believe might been a suicide attempt. Eventually, she stopped trying to contact me and I learned that she had started dating another guy and was once again taking bipolar medication.

As for me, I rediscovered how to have fun again. I made a lot of new friends on the softball team I joined that summer. It helped that we won the championship and I ended up making the game winning catch. I also lost 50 pounds and have since competed in 3 more obstacle course races. I even started dating again and am currently in the early stages of a new relationship. It’s been fun and I can't remember the last time I felt this happy or excited about my life.
